The Survivor in Me - Sexual Assault Awareness Mingle

Did you know that every two minutes another American is sexually assaulted? Sexual assault or abuse is a well-kept secret in our community today. People usually keep quiet about being sexually assaulted or abused because of what people may say, how others may react, how it may make them feel and even more common, they were threatened by the attacker. Our Sexual Assault Awareness annual event is offered to women of all ages in our community. By attending this event, you will hear stories from survivors about how they started their healing process! You will also be educated by a professional about what to do if something like this happens to you or even someone you know. It is our goal that each attendee walks away with knowledge and that any survivors who attend walks away wanting to start there healing process. At this event you can expect to also meet other women in our community during our mix and mingle session. Light refreshments will be served. We encourage you to invite a friend when you come so we can spread the word to as many people as possible.
